¨ Federal and State authorities advise about influenza/2009 H1N1 ¨ After-school tutoring is now available through our Title I Program for 7th and 8th Graders in need of remediation in Reading and/or Math. The tutoring will be offered on Monday-Thursday from 3:15-4:15. If you think your child may need this extra instruction, please contact Brenda Huitt for more information (365-4166). ¨ Sterling Public Schools has registered to participate in Dollar$ for School$ program being offered by Homeland Stores and Lawton Country Mart stores. All proceeds will be earmarked for playground improvements. More information ¨ Sterling Public Schools is in the planning phase of implementing a Title I Schoolwide Program. What this means is that all students in the school will benefit from the program, not just students who, as in the past, met certain qualifying criteria. We are going to post our monthly meeting minutes on this website until we submit our plan to the State Department in April, so that all stakeholders are informed of the planning team’s progress. Click on the Title I link located on the left side of the screen to view recent minutes. |

WELCOME to STERLING PUBLIC SCHOOLS home of the TIGERS! As Superintendent, I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the leader of a district where we believe in “Excellence being Exemplified by Everyone Everyday in Every way”. I believe we accomplish this by offering our students opportunities to learn and to be successful in academics as well as in an array of extracurricular activities. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for our students and staff. Our focus is on the individual learning of our students. And, our desire is to partner and communicate with families and community so that each student reaches his or her fullest potential.
Superintendent, Julie Poteete
